These small Pennsylvania redware ornaments look great on a feather tree and are light enough for an indoor Norfolk Pine tree!  Also great to hang on door/cabinet knobs, baskets and gift packages.

1/16" thick, average size is 2 3/4" tall x 2 1/2" wide, and strung with linen thread.
    
The clay is rolled flat with a rolling pin; the shapes are cut out with a tin cookie cutter, then decorated with yellow slip (liquid clay) using the slip-trailing method.  After drying the ornaments are fired in a kiln, then clear glazed on the front and fired again to accent the beautiful red color of the clay.
